Reaching out

Ways of getting in touch: Email is not preferred; Phone calls are far better. People react far better to phone calls and they are more successful. Send email, sure, but follow up with a phone call.

Theme selection

Involve librarians and staff in the selection of ideas. They want to be included. Partnerships with library staff is very important. They are the keys to get librarians on board.

Get phone numbers of registrants/participants: add them to a WhatsApp group Sympla (Eventbrite-type) platform might not be ideal for all participants. Try using Facebook, Facebook Events; might be flakier, but still might have a broader reach; more accessible than email, more personal

While it’s hard to gauge when we will break for lunch, we should think about how this flows. In POA, lunch at 12h30 felt early- Morgana said that they usually eat at 13h.
